Rol's photo was underexposed and blurry but I was immediately inspired by this intricate mix of fish, water and human figure. I choose dry pastels for medium because it would render this action of releasing a great tarpon best. Professional quality dry pastels by Rembrandt, on heavy Pastelmat Clairefontaine paper. I wish to produce genuine art and tell stories with my paintings. After breaking a leg last year, I had to stay in bed and picked up water color. Artists like Edward Hopper, Joaquin Sorolla and Egon Schiele inspire me greatly. My favourite subjects are people, views with water (sea, river, lake, boats) and fly fishing.
